The Micro-Controlstar (GSM/GPRS, PSTN
and ZigBee)
The Micro Controlstar is a low powered unit that operates continuously using a combination of an internal battery and a small solar cell, logging and reporting by GSM/GPRS or PSTN
The MC can provide power for associated instrumentation with the user programming the logging and reporting strategy (this can be adjusted remotely to reflect changing operational requirements) The unit can be configures to trigger a mix of alarm dial out, of full SCADA data upload and/or SMS text messages

Instant critical level data with MicroControlstar
Use a pre-configured SCADA master station, one solar or battery powered Micro Controlstar remote level monitor, and a high quality level sensor with a 15m cable to start your tank data system
The MC also operates from a wide range DC input (3-24V), in this case the internal secondary battery functions as a small UPS.
The basic I/O capacity of 6 digital in, 2 digital out plus one high accuracy analogue input can be extended using the standard Controlstar DIN rail I/O modules.
The Micro Controlstar can be equipped with a ZigBee radio module, and so similar units can coexist in a local control and monitoring network, without the need and cost of interconnecting cabling.
Typical applications are pressure or level measurements for water and waste treatment, pollution monitoring, simple local control using basic PLC function blocks, bulk storage, and other process industry reporting systems.
