Coolmation, the UK's exclusive distributor for the Rhoss range of chillers, has launched the new Micro Powercool series of industrial low energy air cooled chillers with a 3-year warranty

Developed specifically for industrial and process cooling applications the Micro Powercool series is available in cooling capacities from 15kW to 70kW A breakthrough in low energy, environmentally-friendly cooling, Micro Powercool chillers are designed by Rhoss to provide the best EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) performance in their range

In addition, the Micro Powercool is the first industrial chiller to use green energy efficient refrigerant R410a with scroll compressors and comes with a 3 year warranty.

Comprising nine chillers, the Rhoss Micro Powercool series from Coolmation is Eurovent approved and designed to run on the efficient, ozone-benign R410a refrigerant charge.

The three largest units of this unique breed of chillers have two scroll compressors of different capacity installed in the same refrigerant circuit to provide three cooling capacity steps and further increase the chiller efficiency.

Coupled with R410a, one of the new refrigerants developed to replace R22, now rapidly being phased out, this new range operates at a significantly higher energy efficiency ratio than previous chillers.

Featuring a unique patented control system, Adaptive Function Plus, the Micro Powercool chillers offer both highly precise temperature stability and energy efficient compressor operation.

Developed jointly by Rhoss and the Physics and IT Department of the University of Padua, Adaptive Function Plus has the capability to reduce energy consumption by up to 36% in winter months and 18% in the summer.

It allows significantly reduced water volumes to as little as 2litres/kW, which results in smaller tank sizes and footprint, allowing easier chiller installation.

Each chiller also incorporates special plate type evaporators designed to improve energy efficiency, especially at part loads.

Meanwhile, the Adaptive Function Plus control system is able to accurately match the load to achieve optimum low energy performance and more stable water leaving temperatures during part load conditions.

In addition, with the Micro Powercool chiller scroll compressors all housed in dedicated, sound insulated compartments, low noise levels are ensured.

Access doors to the compartments allow engineers fast and simple access to the compressors in order to comply with routine inspection, service and maintenance, in line with the F-Gas Regulation.

The Micro Powercool series is the latest in the established Coolmation range of Rhoss Eurovent chillers.

Manufactured to the highest quality standards, Coolmation chillers are renowned for their reliability, low noise and low energy operation, and are well proven to optimise product quality and production plant efficiency in numerous industrial cooling applications.

With offices in Lancashire, Leicestershire, Bedfordshire, Bristol and a Head Office in Ringwood, Hampshire, Coolmation operates nationwide in chiller sales and installation, service, hire and technical support.
