Mahle AF 179 Automatic Filter arrives!
Some eagerly awaited new food industry filtration products from Mahle filtration are now coming on stream - the first of which is the AF 179 Automatic Filter
The eagerly awaited new products from Mahle filtration are now coming on stream, the first of which is the AF 179 Automatic Filter.
The AF 179 unit now allows customers to have a single filter unit with a capacity of approx 50 tonnes per hour at a filter medium size of 5 micron, The AF 179 utilises the Mahle external pressure segment cleaning with integrated cyclone effect technology which allows a continuous filtrate flow which has proved extremely successful on smaller versions.
The flow rate that the AF179 allows using this technology had previously only been possible by having multiple units connected to a central manifold.
This unit has particular relevance for the filtering of low viscosity liquids at the finer end of the filtering scale i.e trade effluent being one such application.
The unit is available in all grades of steel including stainless and can also be manufactured using food grade materials on all product contact parts, and on request handle liquids to 200 degrees c.
The range will shortly be complemented by the arrival of the AF79 this unit will once again be a larger version of the previously successful axial and radial metal edge scraper filters which have proved so effective when dealing with the more solid type of contaminants down to a filtering level of 30 micron having particularly relevance in the frying oil sector of the food industry.
Further information on these and all other Mahle automatic filtration products including pdf manuals can be obtained from Comocri, who will endeavour to answer all your questions on filtration matters.
Our laboratory analysis service is also available free of charge to all prospective clients.
