Removing oil and hydrocarbons from water
Comocri announces the arrival of its latest range of equipment for the removal of oil and particulates from water, with the Mahle/Nfv two stage mesb unit, that cleans down to 5ppm hydrocarbon elements
The Comocri equipment has at its heart the immensely successful Mahle/Nfv two stage mesb unit: bespoke to each application, these units are then married to intermediate and polishing filters to suit the required level of quality.
The units are designed and configured to minimise space requirements, are entirely self monitoring and are available in carbon and stainless steel.
The units are available in a wide range of sizes to suit all applications from 250litres/hr to 1800M3/hr and unlike other processes have no chemical usage whatsoever: the consumable spend is minimal compared to the amount of savings generated.
These units where initially developed with the 'Energy from Waste' industry in mind and now form an integral part of the process for one the leaders in the gasification of waste derived fuels technology.
The units have already been trialled in other industries namely the Ethnic food industry where the suspended solids where reduced from 2,700 mg/ltr to 180 mg/ltr and the oil content reduced to 0.4 parts per million.
Also the equipment has been trialled in the concrete block making process whereby soluble cutting oil and particulates where removed allowing the water to be re-introduced to the process and thereby drastically reducing both incoming supply volumes and effluent discharge volumes.
Comocri have a mobile test unit which can rapidly be used to demonstrate the system effectiveness and generate samples which can be analysed and cost savings identified.
