Corrosion Resistant Products has launched a new flanged poppet check valve that offers minimum pressure drop and extended service life for processes in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries

CRP Flex-Rite (Corrosion Resistant Products) has launched a new flanged poppet check valve that offers minimum pressure drop and extended service life for processes in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries Unlike other valves, this new CRP product is equally effective when installed in either horizontal or vertical pipeline applications

Manufactured using a PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy) lining, it offers superior non-stick properties and a maximum operating temperature of 200C.

Further benefits of the PFA lining - a modern fluorpolymer with all the chemical resisting properties of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) - is that it has a smooth surface finish, can operate in temperatures ranging from -29C up to a maximum of 200C and can function in processes up to pressures of 19bar.

"The most effective valves are manufactured from carbon steel and either cast or machined with a PTFE or PFA liner.

The high mechanical stability of cast steel coupled with the corrosion resistance of the fluropolymer lining provides strength and security in demanding chemical and pharmaceutical service and make the valve safe and reliable in operation," explained Phil Brown, sales office manager at CRP.

The new valve has bolted flanged ends offering standard valve face-to-face dimensions for either ASME (American Society for Mechanical Engineers) or DIN process lines.

It can be used in several applications across either unlined piping or PTFE lined piping to ensure that products only flow one way.

For the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, it ensures no loss of hazardous substances and stops the backflow of any product into inlet lines to prevent cross contamination and injury.
