Alan comes to Carlo Gavazzi with 24 years in the process and factory automation industry and has developed a wealth of experience in the UK, European and International arenas.
He joins from Danaher Industrial Controls, where he was Export Manager of the Industrial Controls Group European manufactured products.
He was promoted to this position from UK Country Manager for Hengstler and West Instruments.
He has also held positions with Milltronics and Compair Maxam.
He started his career as toolmaker at GEC Turbine Generators.
Carlo Gavazzi's Automation Components Business Unit comprises four production sites: sensors, switches, control and safety, which design and manufacture electronic control components from factories located in Denmark, Italy and Malta.
The products provide automation solutions for machinery, process plant and buildings automation.
The products are marketed across Europe, North America and Asia through a network of 17 wholly-owned Carlo Gavazzi sales companies and in other countries by more than 40 independent national distributors.
Carlo Gavazzi has its operational headquarters in Italy, and financial headquarters in Switzerland: it is quoted on the Zurich stock exchange.
