At this year's Energy Event, Carlo Gavazzi is showcasing its latest energy analysers along with innovative Dupline building automation products

A new top performing meter - the EM26-96 - provides comprehensive measurements of three-phase parameters and is particularly suitable for active and reactive energy metering, and for cost allocation applications The meter conforms to the newly introduced Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) and is designated Class 1 to European standards EN62053-21, Class B to EN50470-3 and Class 2 according to EN62053-23

A comprehensive range of system and single-phase variable measurements is provided along with utility metering (energy, hot/cold water, gas, remote heating) and load monitoring with harmonic analysis up to the 15th harmonic.

Accuracy is +/-0.5% RDG (current/voltage); results are displayed on a large clear LCD with a 4 digit variables readout, 7+1 digit for the energy analyser and a 6+2 digit hour counter.

A dual-colour backlight automatically changes colour to provide a visual alert in case of alarm conditions.

Housed in a compact 96 x 96 x 63 mm module, the unit requires just 46mm clearance behind the front panel.

Three digital inputs provide functions including tariff selection, DMD synchronisation or gas/water (hot-cold) and remote heating metering.

Also making its Energy Event debut is the Carlo-Gavazzi EM24 - the smallest and most powerful MID-compliant instrument on the market that allows a three-phase direct connection up to 65A.

As with the EM26-96 energy meter, it provides complete utility metering and load analysis, offering conventional three-phase active and reactive energy measurements, together with gas, hot and cold water, and remote heating consumption.

Both devices are tamper-proofed and carry revenue approval for billing applications.

They have digital inputs and outputs, as well as an RS-485 serial interface for integration with automation networks, data acquisition and remote monitoring systems.

Complementing these products is PowerSoft Energy Manager.

This flexible and easy to use software can help improve efficiency and reduce costs by providing complete energy management programmes for industrial, commercial and public buildings.

These new analysers are demonstrated alongside the Carlo-Gavazzi Dupline installation bus for building automation and the web based user interface Dupline Online for energy saving and recording.

Dupline installation bus is a decentralised system which links both the control and monitoring of tasks such as lighting, roller blinds, HVAC and security whilst monitoring energy, water and gas consumption throughout the building.

Designed for simple installation in both new build and refurbishment projects, all components are connected to a central controller with just two wires, providing neater installation and considerable reduction in wiring.

Dupline is a proven system in harsh industrial environments.

Members of the Carlo-Gavazzi sales team will be on the stand to answer queries from authorised installers, as well as trade and consumer visitors.
