The new Polartronic polarimeters from CSP resolve in less than five seconds and are designed for continuous on-line analysis of optically active substances and investigating kinetic reactions

CSP, specialist supplier to the chemical, food, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries, is launching a range of fully automatic circle polarimeters capable of processing samples 4 times faster than existing instruments.

The Schmidt + Haensch Polartronic polarimeters resolve in less than five seconds and are designed for continuous analysis of optically active substances and investigating kinetic reactions.

The secret to the Polartronic speed is the direct coupling of the analyser to an optical decoder.

This patented system eliminates linearity errors to ensure constant resolution throughout the range, high accuracy and repeatability.

It also removes the need for an operator to reset the polarimeter when beginning a new measurement.

For simultaneous measurement of Pol and BRIX values, all Polartronic models can accept a connection form the S+H DUR-SW refractometer.

Since the polarimeter controls the functions of the refractometer a separate control unit is not required.

The M- and H-series polarimeters are precise, high-resolution instruments built to fulfil the highest demands of quality control and capable of a resolution of 0.001 degrees.

On the multi-wavelength version up to five different measurement wavelengths are selectable via the control panel, a choice of two wavelengths is available on the dual-wavelength manual model, and a single wavelength model is available with a choice of filter in the range 350-900 nm.

The 8-line, 30-character LCD displays levorotatory samples for glucose measurements and optical density up to an absorption level of 99.

percent.

It is also fully programmable to show readings in other concentration units or configured with simple push-buttons for routine analyses.

The N-series polarimeters are easy-to-use instruments for routine analysis and are suitable for many applications, from lab work to saccharimetry.

Designed for applications requiring a 0.01-degree accuracy, they offer outstanding quality and performance at an economical price.

A single line, 16-character LCD displays the absolute angle of rotation in degrees or sugar degrees as well as levorotatory samples for glucose.

Polartronic works with standard and continuous flow tubes, and special tubes are available for temperature measurement and precious samples.

An RS 232 C data interface is fitted as standard on the M- and H-series instruments and on the NH8 model and further serial or analogue interfaces can be fitted on request.
