Geometric Process Control (GPC) technology from Curvaceous Software has been shortlisted for the IEE Manufacturing Award 2005

The Curvaceous Software Geometric Process Control (GPC) technology has been shortlisted for the IEE Manufacturing Award 2005.

The award is for Innovation in Engineering.

This is a very positive sign for Curvaceous who are already short listed for the IChemE Innovation Awards and were finalists in the Carbon Trust Innovation Awards earlier this year.

GPC develops process analysis, control and optimisation through the use of innovative parallel-coordinate based software tools.

One of the main selling points to the average Process Manager seems to be that GPC does not require any maths to use.

Over 80 major companies are already using the GPC techniques to capitalise on their operator process experience and knowledge.

The ability to decipher and effectively use operator process data that was previously inaccessible is encouraging many manufacturers to evaluate the technique.

Curvaceous are looking forward to the IEE awards ceremony in mid September.
