CADline is new reseller for Autodesk
P+ID software
CADline, the Autodesk design software specialist, has become a reseller for the new Autodesk piping, instrumentation design and drafting solution AutoCAD P+ID 2008
Claire Bass of CADline predicts that P+ID will generate strong interest as it is based on the popular AutoCAD package "With an estimated 50% of current designers scheduled to retire within the next ten years, AutoCAD P+ID has been launched at just the right time as it will help our clients avoid the skills shortage expected in the plant sector

Controller brings flexibility in motor protection
The new ABB Universal Motor Controller, UMC22, offers a powerful and flexible intelligent control device for motor protection applications, and is designed for use with the new ABB Fieldbus Plug
Because P+ID is based on the AutoCAD platform, the most widely used package in plant design, it will allow customers to utilise their existing AutoCAD skills.
This will save companies both the time and cost of having to invest in months of user training" says Bass.
"P+ID will also save our clients time and increase accuracy as the software allows users to track design information and highlights any changes between the drawing and external data, reducing the risk of mistakes".
The solution works together with other Autodesk products such as Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk 3D Plant, and is compatible with the Aveva plant design and management software.
