Following consultation with IDLS, an official distributor for dataTaker data acquisition systems and products, three DT50 data loggers have been installed with strategically placed thermocouples within the ovens.
By using 4 thermocouples within the oven, one for air temperature and one each placed on the product trays (top, middle and bottom) provide an overall picture of the temperature profile throughout the oven.
The sensors are connected directly to the data logger mounted on top of the rotating shaft, and data is sent back to the PC using a wireless Ethernet connection.
With measurements taken in real time, all the results are collected on a daily basis and automatic reports are generated in a PDF format.
This gives a fully retrievable source of data should any problems occur.
This information can also be used to fine-tune the cooking process if needed, and being produced in a PDF format, it can be sent by e-mail to any interested party.
