With recent years showing a decline in the number of people entering the manufacturing industry, David Brown was pleased to note the numbers of young people at the exhibition.
Commenting, Peter Bulkley, Director, Product Management at David Brown Engineered Products said, "We have a long history of encouraging young people to enter our industry and a policy of running apprenticeship schemes, so it was great to see an apprentice win the prize".

BPI Films produces silage stretchwrap and manufactures a variety of other stretchfilm products.
Like David Brown, BPI Films believes that a strong apprenticeship programme will help to attract fresh faces into the industry.
Tony Soland, Operating Director at BPI Films said, "We are committed to apprenticeships and believe that they will help to improve the image of the manufacturing industry.
We have always found the results to be positive - indeed many of our current employees began their careers with us as apprentices".
