The brightness specifications are: 10.4" 1500 cd/m2; 12.1" 1250 cd/m2; 15" 1600 cd/m2; 17" 1000 cd/m2.
These screens are due for release at the end of June and are at unbelievable prices when compared to the competition.
In addition to the high brightness screens, Dicoll also have a range of sunlight readable transflective screens due for release at the same time.
Normal LCD screens are transmissive which means they are lit by a backlight and are easily readable in normal or low light conditions.
However, when faced with the power of direct sunlight they are almost unreadable.
Transflective screens use both a backlight and the power of the sun to create a reflection of the image on the screen.
The stronger the sunlight, the easier they are to read as a more powerful image is reflected off the rear of the display.
The transflective screens will be available in 10.4" 12.1" and 15" sizes initially.
The addition of a new range of low cost high brightness and sunlight readable screens is a significant step forward, but when combined with Dicoll's core touchscreen integration technology they extend the possibilities well beyond the usual applications.
They will be available in open frame or panel mount format.
