Meeting the requirements of approval agencies from around the world including CE, FM, CSA and ATEX, the EQP is a certified NFPA-72 fire, gas detection and releasing system.
Various combinations of field devices can be configured to suit specific applications and the system is easily modified to accommodate design changes or expansion at any time.
The EQP controller coordinates system device configuration, monitoring, annunciation and control, while the field devices communicate their status and alarm conditions to the controller.
Communications reliability is ensured by the controller's use of several mechanisms to continuously check the LON loop for fault conditions.
In addition to the Det-Tronics industry standard optical flame and gas detection sensors, the EQP system offers turbine manufacturers and industry users the flexibility to incorporate third-party input or output protection equipment, such as manual fire alarm call boxes and heat detectors or solenoids, strobes and horns.
For total system integration the EQP controller can communicate with other systems such as PLCs and DCSs via Modbus (RTU) and Controlnet.
Different protocols are also supported, allowing communication with additional systems.
Furthermore, anyone who ever been sorely 'tested' during a safety audit by being asked to confirm how their flame and/or gas detectors are configured, or when the last calibration was done, can rest easy.
With the Det-Tronics EQP system this information is always readily available!.
