from stock

Dichtomatik Teflon encapsulated 'O' rings consist of a seamless and uniform FEP encapsulation which completely encloses a core material of either silicone or viton elastomer

Dichtomatik Ltd, the specialist sealing products company, has added Teflon encapsulated 'O' rings to their range The rings consist of a seamless and uniform FEP encapsulation which completely encloses a core material of either silicone or viton elastomer

This combination provides resistance to hardening and embrittlement due to the FEP encapsulation, while retaining the mechanical properties of flexibility and elastomeric memory of the core materials, which provides a low compression set.

The 'O' rings are particularly suited to hostile sealing environments, as they provide a high level of resistance to solvents and most chemicals, with a temperature performance range of - 60 to + 205C.

Low vapour permeability and minimal water absorption is also achieved.

The FEP encapsulation of the ring has a very low coefficient of friction.

Safety critical industries, or production based upon continuous operation can benefit from these cost effective seals, which provide superior sealing for both static and dynamic requirements.

Typical applications include chemical and petrochemicals processing; food, pharmaceutical, polymer and dye production, semi-conductor, refrigeration and paint and coating operations.

Seals can currently be supplied in BS sizes from 014 to 475, and none standard rings with an inside diameter in excess of 3,000 mm can be produced with a cross section of up to and including 20 mm.

Large stocks are available in a wide range of sizes for immediate despatch. Request a free brochure from Dichtomatik ...
