Delta Consultants, the recruitment specialists for commercial appointments in science, medical devices and process engineering, have experienced a busy time in the last month with numbers of new vacancies rising rapidly.

Ann Pinn, Managing Director of DeltaConsultants says: 'We had a quiet March and April: but the Summer has brought more companies along to recruit.

Now the vacancies are coming in, forming a steady stream.

Although there are still some redundancy situations, they are slowing.

The companies who have made people redundant in the last year have re-structured and discovered they need new talent to move their business forward.

We, in recruitment, are the first to feel any positive trends or upturns in the economy, and this is good news.

Even the engineering sector - which has been quiet for a while - is starting to recruit again.

We are very positive about recruitment for the rest of 2003.
