The Donaldson Advanced Filtration team will be on display at the 2008 Sensor + Test exhibition to be held at the Nuremberg Messe from 6-8 May 2008
Industrial Filtration Product Manager, Callum Baxendale, will make a valuable contribution to the event with his presentation on the selection of advanced filter media for a variety of cement de-dusting applications.
Visitors from the cement industry will also be able to view the range of Tetratex ePTFE membrane products for Industrial Filtration, on show at Stand 20 throughout the 3-day event.
Callum's presentation, entitled: "Benefits of Tetratex ePTFE Membrane Filter Media in Cement Dedusting Applications" will outline how Tetratex membranes provide increased bag life, less downtime, reduced emissions, increased productivity and cost reductions.
He explained: "Tetratex membrane filter media can be used in many parts of the cement manufacturing process to provide improved airflow and throughput, which in turn can increase production rates, optimise milling and eliminate production bottlenecks.
"After introducing guests to Donaldson, I will talk through the product range, detailing the features and benefits of Tetratex ePTFE Membrane filter media in cement de-dusting applications, and will be drawing on case studies of successful installations.
I will also focus on the principles of filtration, ie depth v surface filtration, giving an explanation of the differences between conventional depth filtration principles when using non-membrane filter media against those of true surface filtration when Tetratex ePTFE membrane media is employed.
Reducing energy consumption and environmental emissions are two of the greatest challenges facing the cement industry today.
Donaldson Membranes can help to overcome these challenges by providing filter media for dedusting of kilns, raw mills, coal mills, alkali bypass systems, clinker coolers and finish mills".
