Dow to supply Unipol to Sinochem KTA PP plant

Sinochem Quanzhou has selected Unipol Polypropylene Process Technology for its 200 KTA polypropylene facility in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, which is expected to go on line in 2011.

This facility is the sixth polypropylene plant in China to license Unipol Polypropylene Technology from Dow Basic Plastics.

The facility will mainly produce homopolymers.

Products will be marketed in China and abroad.

Including the Sinochem Quanzhou Project, Unipol Polypropylene Technology will be used to produce almost 11 million tons of polypropylene per year, which will represent more than 17 per cent of total global capacity.
