A Davy Process Technology product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team May 31, 2007

Thai Choline Chloride Company has selected the Davy Process Technology methylamines and choline chloride process technologies for its new facility at Map Ta Phut in Thailand

The new choline chloride plant, which will be the first of its kind in Thailand, is slated to produce 26,700 tonnes per annum of choline chloride, an important additive in animal feed, particularly for chickens.

With Thailand being the largest exporter of chickens in Asia, the plant is well situated to support this important export activity.

Design and engineering is scheduled to begin in July 2007 and start-up is expected to occur in first quarter of the year 2009.

At the contract signing ceremony in Bangkok on May 29th , Fred Franklin, Senior Vice President of Davy Process Technology said, "We are pleased to be working with Thai Choline Chloride to design and licence this plant which will further establish Davy Process Technology as a leading supplier of technology for the production of methylamines and its derivatives".

Thai Choline Chloride Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of PTT Chemical Public Company.

Davy Process Technology is a Johnson Matthey company.
