Top recycling and waste management award
Earth Tech has scooped a top environmental award for the unique GBP10 million waste treatment facility it developed for the Western Isles Council
The company picked up the award for "Innovation in Design" at the Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management 2007 which recognise innovation, dedication and success in recycling and sustainable waste management The awards are supported by the Waste Implementation Programme (DEFRA), Environmental Services Association, Environment Agency and National Association of Waste Disposal Officers

The prestigious event was held at the London Savoy and was hosted by BBC breakfast news presenter and journalist Bill Turnbull.
Earth Tech fought off stiff competition from Virdor Waste Management and UK Wood Recycling, who were also short listed for the Innovation award.
A record 200 plus entries were received for this year's awards.
Addressing an audience of more than 300 senior industry representatives, recycling minister Joan Ruddock commended "the high degree of innovation, imagination and enthusiasm shown by the award entries".
The awards are organised by by letsrecycle.com and are in their fourth year.
