The first easyFairs Solids Handling: Processing: Storage event ran at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton last week on May 10-11.
Six hundred and nineteen high quality visitors attended the event.
An impressive 91% of visitors surveyed on site said that the event met their objectives and 84% said that they would purchase products they saw at the event.
Exhibitor Declan Barry of ATEX agreed that the event was very productive.
Declan said, 'To date the easyFairs Solids event is the best exhibition we have ever participated in.
The ATEX learnshops have proven to be a big draw for visitors, so the people attending were keen to view our ATEX solutions (Explosion products and services).
We did meet existing clients, but most of the people at our stand were new prospects, so the easyFairs event should really help to raise our profile'.
Vic Godding, sales and marketing manager, Rotolock said, the word 'easyFairs' really rings true.
Right from the decision to exhibit, at what we perceived to be an ideal location, through to setting up the stand, everything has gone very smoothly.
The whole thing gels and there's a very friendly atmosphere here which is very unusual.
We are pleased with the level of attendees and have been talking to process and project engineers, who we see as our target contacts'.
Exhibitor Scott Parkinson, marketing manager, Camfil, said 'easyFairs Solids is a good show; it's very targeted and specific.
The visitors are high quality, we had thirty very good leads on the first day.
We were delighted because some of them included prospects that we've been tracking and they've stopped to talk to us because we are here'.
Keith Simpson Marketing Manager, Spiroflow, also reported some good leads through participating at the event.
He said, 'We got off to a flying start on the opening morning of the show with almost twenty decent enquiries.
The following day brought in 26, bringing the total to 51 over the 2 days.
We're delighted with the concept of the event and found it to be well organised'.
Keith continued, 'the special Spiroflow requirements for stand build-up and break-down were noted and actioned without any prompting.
Well done to all concerned".
Robin Travis of Renby said, 'This is the first show we've ever done where we have not had to chase for electricity.
The easyFairs staff are a pleasure to deal with.
We've had good quality leads from blue chip companies and it's the first time we've shown the Schrage Rohrkettensystem Tube Chain Conveyor at a specialist show, which has received a positive response from visitors'.
Mark Waters, director, Ajax Equipment said: 'The exhibition was a great success and we were delighted at the quality of people who visited our stand as well as the numbers attending the learnshop seminars presented by Lyn Bates (Ajax MD) and Eddie McGee (Ajax Technical Sales Manager).
There was a good deal of interest in both our lumpbreaker and new static screw elevator.
This new technology looks to be well placed for serving companies looking at effective and gentler methods of elevating materials'.
One exhibitor, Applied Weighing, was so delighted with the event that it made the generous gesture of giving two bottles of champagne to the easyFairs show team.
'We were delighted with the event,' said Managing Director Julian Glasspole 'and we had a lot of interest in Applied Weighing's products, so we thought it would be nice to say thank you to easyFairs!' Peter Heath, Managing Director of easyFairs UK commented, "It is enormously satisfying to know that easyFairs identified and fulfilled a requirement in the Solids processing industry for a business event which really delivered what exhibitors and visitors were looking for.
Our learnShop sessions were bursting with delegates throughout the event and exhibitors made the most of the high quality audience.
We're delighted that our customers thought the event was easy to attend and generated new leads.".
