An exciting new development at easyFairs Solids 2008 will expand the scope of the show and help plant engineers and managers involved in solids processing to meet ever tougher performance demands

An exciting new development at easyFairs Solids 2008 will expand the scope of the show and help plant engineers and managers involved in solids processing and handling to meet ever tougher demands to improve plant performance, efficiency and environmental compliance.

A major first for the sector, the dedicated Industrial Environment Forum at easyFairs Solids 2008 at the NEC next March is specifically aimed at professionals who are striving to deliver improved performance at every stage of the plant process, including: * dust and emissions monitoring and control; * effluent/slurry monitoring and disposal; * filtration and separation; * noise and odour control; * energy efficiency; * waste minimisation and recycling; * safety and fire and explosion protection.

"Our aim is to cater for the wider challenges now faced by plant managers and engineers and deliver an exhibition that is even more relevant to solids professionals," explains Peter Heath, managing director of easyFairs UK.

Reflecting the important role that efficiency and environmental compliance play in enhancing industry competitiveness, the new Industrial Environment Forum is supported by a range of leading organisations and professional bodies, including the Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), the Institute of Materials (IMO3), the Society of Engineers/Institution of Plant Engineers (SOE/IPlantE), the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), the Source Testing Association (STA) and Envirowise.

A number of these organisations will also be running easyFairs learnShops seminars on key issues and hot topics, such as waste minimisation and management, energy efficiency, air/effluent monitoring and MCERTS, renewable energy solutions, and the latest legislative developments.

There will also be practical end-user case studies looking at real life challenges facing process operators and sessions on the latest technical developments and trends from leading industry solution providers including ABB, PCME and Endress + Hauser.
