The next generation of the Edinburgh Instruments OEM sensor, aptly named the Gascard NG, will be available to preview during MTEC 2008

Edinburgh Instruments has a thoroughbred reputation in the arena of infra-red gas sensing technology with an established track record spanning over 20 years.

It comes as no surprise then that Edinburgh Instruments continues to build on this reputation with the introduction of the next generation of their OEM sensor, the Gascard NG.

Edinburgh Instruments decided to use the well-established, proven technology from their Gascard range of instruments as the backbone of their latest product offering, the Gascard NG.

This product will not only address their existing customer requirements, being backward compatible with the current Gascard model, but will also provide future extendibility and functionality through improved communications and enhanced configuration options.

The main highlights of the Gascard NG are:.

* Temperature and pressure correction via on-board sensors.

* On-board RS232 communication.

* TCP-IP communications protocol option.

* Field replaceable IR source.

* Windows data logging software.

* Backward compatible with current Gascard generation of detectors.

* Enhanced configuration options for future extendibility to incorporate additional gas detection technologies.

Initially available in CO2 0-3000ppm configuration, the range will be extended to include a variety of different measurement ranges for CO2 as well as other target gases covered by the current Gascard model.
