Sources of Finance and Advice for SMEs
in London
Information from William de Mare about the Little Green Book, a popular publication giving sources of finance and advice for SMEs in the London area
A corporate finance/venture capital house in the City recognised that it can be difficult for companies to find the information they need about different sources of finance and advice, and each year produces the 'Sources of Finance and Advice for SMEs in London' which has become known, unofficially, as the Little Green Book Subject to attracting sufficient support from sponsors for printing this latest edition, they hope to distribute some 33,000 copies free of charge to entrepreneurs/high growth companies through their advisers in London - the last run was 25,000 and it has grown from 56 pages to 224 pages

The 2006 edition of the above book is now available to be viewed online (free of charge) at www.companyguides.com.
Following requests from the readership, there are expanded sectors to include additional sources of advice and sector specialisation.
The first part of the book covers corporate finance and fundraising, grants, bank finance, equity, advice, specialist services and facilities.
Various professionals have contributed pieces about their areas of specialisation.
In the second part of the book there is an extensive, but by no means exhaustive, list of useful websites on different subjects to help SMEs - including sources of finance, corporate finance, legal, accountancy, retail, creative industries, social enterprise, technology, product development and premises, to name but a few.
The authors hope you find the online version of this book useful and welcome any comments or suggestions as to additional entries.
In addition, they are planning to launch a weblog on the Company Guides website (www.companyguides.com) on the key issues of SME funding and look forward to any specific comments you have on the subject.
The above information was provided by William de Mare on behalf of David McMeekin.
