Elite Thermal Systems Ltd, based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, have recently engaged a post doctoral research engineer to further strengthen its research and development team.

Martyn Maguire PhD, MSc, BEng (Hons), who took his PhD at Keele University, brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in material composites, ceramics and metallurgy.

Martyn said, "I am looking forward to both the challenge and the rewards of applying new thinking and new materials to furnace design".

Alf Roberts, Managing Director of Elite Thermal Systems commented, "We feel continual improvements in technology are important and strive to stay at the leading edge.

I am confident that our ongoing investments in research and development will ultimately create greater success for the company by delivering greater benefit to our customers".

Elite produce a range a standard ovens and furnaces up to 2000 degrees C, which are suitable for many applications.

Where specific thermal process characteristics are required, Elite will design a custom solution to meet the needs of the system.
