The SpeedTalker DN-BH is a DeviceNet-enabled shaft speed sensor now available with a compact, rugged NEMA 4X-rated stainless steel barrel housing

Electro-Sensors has introduced the SpeedTalker DN-BH, the latest addition to its SpeedTalker range of shaft speed sensors.

The new model offers unique DeviceNet connectivity, easier installation, and a compact, rugged NEMA 4X-rated stainless steel barrel housing.

Designed to operate in a variety of demanding industrial environments, the SpeedTalker DN-BH sensor provides measured shaft RPM along with the status of up to four under/over speed alarms over a DeviceNet network.

"The SpeedTalker DN-BH sensor incorporates state-of-the-art sensing and shaft speed analysis for real-time maintenance feedback and machine diagnostics," said Brad Slye, President.

"Electro-Sensors is known for the reliability, accuracy and long life of our speed switches in rugged industrial conditions".

Slye added, "Now users can easily monitor the speeds of numerous rotating shafts using DeviceNet, better control their process, and anticipate problems before they occur".

The SpeedTalker DN-BH sensor is ODVA conformance tested, easy to configure, and features an M12 micro connector for simple, quick installation.

The sensor is housed in an 18mm stainless steel barrel enclosure with a mounting bracket and hex nuts.

Its rugged construction, compact size and mounting versatility allows it to perform in a number of applications.
