Bursting disc with industry-leading performance
The latest addition to the Elfab industry-leading Opti-Gard range of bursting discs has been developed specifically for low-pressure applications from 2 psig
Hygienic Opti-Gard features a non-fragmenting, reverse-acting bursting disc with a smooth, uninterrupted surface finish to reduce contamination and maximise stream sterilisation (SIP) and clean-in-place (CIP) procedures.
To facilitate installation, the system is designed to fit directly between ISO2852 standard food industry couplings and clamp fittings.
Hygienic Opti-Gard is supplied with the Elfab industry-leading ATEX-approved Integral Flo-Tel burst-detection device.
Integral Flo-Tel is a non-invasive, magnetically-actuated and completely reusable detection system that ensures fail-safe detection and minimises the risk of spurious alarms.
With a performance tolerance of only 5% across a wide range of burst pressures and a 95% operating ratio, Opti-Gard offers the highest performance characteristics available for liquid, gas or vapour applications.
The system is manufactured from 316 stainless steel as standard, although alternative materials are available upon request.
Standard temperature range extends from -80C to 480C.
