After discussions and meetings with the dwindling number of UK manufacturers, the search went further afield and several European companies were researched.
One of these companies, Elesta, was new to the UK.
Following a visit to Constance in Germany to the Elesta HQ, an agreement was signed between the two companies.
The Elesta product has subsequently been used on numerous Passivent projects covering new schools, colleges, sports facilities, civic buildings and offices.
The majority of these have both temperature and CO2 control of the naturally ventilated environment.
Malcolm Anson comments: "The cost and flexibility of the Elesta product has allowed the basic zone control principles of natural ventilation to be deployed in an easy modular way.
We have successfully integrated our own range of digital room units within the Elesta control system, which enables the client to have simple room override, with all the sophistication of complex night time cooling routines".
The award was presented during a recent presentation of the latest Elesta RCO D system: for further information on Elesta and their new RCO D system visit the website.
