Measurement instrument platform ramps
up.
The Rosemount 3051S is the first measurement platform to enable flexible best practices for pressure, level and flow from just one instrument: production in Europe is ramping up to meet orders.
Emerson Process Management confirmed its commitment to the European process market by staging the international launch of the new Rosemount instrumentation platform, the 3051S Series scaleable transmitter, in Europe in November 2001 Since then, the 3051S Series has been widely accepted by European process instrumentation engineers, who recognise the benefits and advantages - evidenced by the rapid growth of significant European orders after customer site evaluations of initial units

Reinforcing this commitment to Europe, the Rosemount pressure transmitter manufacturing base at Wessling near Munich, Germany, recently presented BP in Cologne with the 1,111,111th pressure transmitter manufactured in Germany.
Appropriately, as manufacture of the new instruments ramps up, this was one of the latest 3051S Series of scaleable transmitters.
The Rosemount pressure transmitter offering has expanded over the past 30 years, as has the Wessling facility, maintaining its position as a world-class facility for production of the 3051S Series.
The 3051S Series functionality comes from design creativity.
Building from the ground up, the Rosemount innovation represents three years of design, development and user testing.
Over 25 patents have been implemented.
Custom microcircuitry has been produced, enabling the transmitter to be encased with the pressure sensor in a stainless steel module.
This enables new installation practices, eliminating problematic impulse lines.
The product delivers a new generation of measurement technology - a platform that improves user practices and changes the way engineers view pressure transmitters.
