Course participants learn, free of charge, how to increase output by improving quality and throughput with improved process control and by improving availability with proper equipment installation, detection and monitoring.
Participants also learn how to reduce costs through improved operations and maintenance strategies and work practices; online monitoring and predictive diagnostics; and safety, health and environmental enhancements.
"Many plant engineers have already reached a practical limit on the improvements possible with traditional process automation.
So what do they do when management and customers demand even more with even less?" asks Jane Lansing, vice president, Emerson Process Management.
"The new PlantWeb courses show how to go beyond the limited capabilities of traditional automation architectures and improve plant efficiency by two percent or more".
Recent participants have found the courses well worth the time.
Pete Thiessen of Montana-Dakota Utilities described them as "informative, well thought out, and easy to use".
Eri Satria of Caltex Pacific Indonesia PT said, "This is the best free training tool on the web".
Users were surveyed about the courses they took at PlantWeb University.
