Gas fiscal metering project in China
Emerson has been awarded the fiscal metering contract for the Fujian LNG-import terminal project in China, using Daniel ultrasonic and turbine natural gas metering systems
Emerson Process Management has been awarded the fiscal metering contract for the Fujian LNG-import terminal project The terminal being constructed in Fujian Province, Peoples Republic of China, will be owned and operated by the CNOOC Fujian LNG Co, a co-investment of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) and the Fujian Investment and Development Corporation

Fujian will be the second LNG importation terminal in China, importing 2.6 million tons of liquid natural gas annually, intended to supply two major new power plants, together with five major coastal cities.
Commercial operation is targeted to begin in early 2008.
Emerson has engineered and delivered its Daniel natural gas metering systems on twelve high performance gas metering skids that ensure high integrity, accurate, reliable measurement of natural gas volume, quality, composition and calorific value.
Accurate, reliable custody transfer measurement of natural gas is critical for fiscal accounting and taxation purposes.
The Emerson Daniel products used on this project include ultrasonic metering skids and gas turbine metering skids, including products such as the Daniel SeniorSonic gas ultrasonic meters, Daniel gas turbine meters, Daniel flow computers and Daniel Danalyzer gas chromatographs.
