Intergraph alliance to streamline data
management
Emerson plans to optimise PlantWeb engineering work processes by joining the Intergraph SmartPlant alliance programme, to streamline data management of automation projects and plants
Emerson Process Management has joined the SmartPlant Alliance Programme of the Intergraph Corporation, a leading global supplier of engineering and information management products This new agreement expands the current Emerson use of Intergraph lifecycle instrumentation engineering software and enhances the interoperability and efficiency between the Emerson DeltaV digital automation system, a core component of PlantWeb digital plant architecture, and the Intergraph SmartPlant Instrumentation software

As a first priority, the Emerson DeltaV automation system will be integrated with SmartPlant Instrumentation.
This integration will provide a bi-directional data exchange capability, allowing a reduction in the time and an increase in accuracy when configuring and documenting PlantWeb digital plant architecture projects.
The integrated software will also form the engineering information basis needed to support key activities during the operation and maintenance of process plants.
