NMi certification for flow calibration
facilities
Certification of the Emerson calibration facilities at its European Flow Centre by the Netherlands Measurement Institute further extends the traceable test and calibration capability on three rigs
The new flow calibration facilities are purpose designed for the flow and density calibration of Emerson Micro Motion Coriolis flowmeters Flow ranges from 0.13 kg/min up to as high as 18,000 kg/min of water are now covered

Emerson Process Management has been selected by Costain Oil, Gas and Process as a major instrumentation and controls supplier for the Rivers fields onshore processing facilities at Barrow in Cumbria.
Upgrading possible for old DCS systems.
New connection, control and display migration products from Emerson permit the easy and rapid conversion from older generation automation systems to the new PlantWeb digital plant architecture.
This range will allow calibration and certification of the full range of Micro Motion Coriolis flowmeters supplied up to line sizes of a nominal diameter of 200 mm (8").
The certification by NMi on the flow stands identifies the Calibration and Measurement Capability (CMC) with a value up to 0.017% for massflow and 0.07 kg/m3 for density, to enable the calibration of all Micro Motion models.
These capabilities cover the calibration of the most accurate model, the Elite CMF series Coriolis flowmeters, having an optional specification of 0.05% for mass and 0.2 kg/m3 for density.
This higher accuracy option is very useful for critical applications or when the meters are used as master meters to calibrate other meters in the field.
All stated CMC values exceed the specified accuracy with a factor of at least 3.
The European Flow Centre, along with other centres around the world, demonstrates the Emerson global capability and commitment to customer service and support.
Opened in 2007, The European Flow Centre is situated at Ede, between Arnhem and Utrecht in The Netherlands, and offers 'state of the art' test areas for different flow products and flow range calibrations, all fully traceable.
In addition the Flow Centre offers extensive product demonstration and customer training areas, and is the headquarters for sales and support staff.
The Customer Service Centre provides multi-lingual sales and service support to Emerson flow customers throughout Europe.
