Emerson opens technology centre in China

Emerson has announced the opening of its Asia Flow Technology Centre in Nanjing, China.

The Asia Flow Technology Centre expands production capacity and services for Emerson Process Management's flow metering and measurement technologies.

The 12,500m2 facility features a high-accuracy flow calibration laboratory and will manufacture measurement technologies such as Micro Motion Coriolis flow and density meters, Rosemount vortex and magnetic flow meters, and Daniel ultrasonic and differential pressure flow meters.

The calibration facilities can accommodate measurement devices from a tenth of an inch (2mm) to 40in (1000mm) in size.

The Flow Technology Centre will also offer testing capabilities including X-ray, dye penetrant, positive metal identification, hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, electronics diagnostic testing and electronics calibration.

It also includes a hands-on training and interactive demonstration centre to support regional customers.

Located in Nanjing's Jiangning Science Park, the centre joins the comapny's other recently opened Asian facilities including Chiba (Tokyo), Japan; Wuqing, Tianjin, China; Rayong Province, Thailand; Bao'an, Shenzhen Province, China; and Singapore.

An Emerson Solutions Centre is scheduled to open in Mizushima Industrial Park in Japan later this month.
