Sabic will migrate all existing Provox process control and safety systems at its production facility in Bergen op Zoom, the Netherlands, to the Delta-V digital automation system from Emerson.
The facility will also add Emerson's Delta-V SIS safety-management systems.
SABIC Innovative Plastics will migrate process control and safety systems to the Emerson DeltaV digital automation system
An integrated team from both companies will establish an efficient switchover process that provides minimum impact on production availability.
Hedwig Leemans, vice president for Emerson Process Systems and Solutions Europe, said : 'The Delta-V system makes use of the latest technology like I/O on Demand and electronic marshalling.
'It offers the ultimate scalability and embedded intelligent control, and is built to take full advantage of communication technologies like Foundation fieldbus and Emerson's Smart Wireless.
'The Delta-V SIS system, which is part of Emerson's Smart SIS solution, helps deliver optimal process reliability by integrating diagnostic information from the field devices.
