PAT technology integrates synTQ and PlantWeb

An Emerson Process Management product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jan 15, 2010

Emerson Process Management and Optimal Industrial Automation have formed an alliance that integrates the Optimal synTQ PAT data-management package with Emerson PlantWeb digital plant architecture.

The alliance delivers a Process Analytical Technology (PAT) solution that utilises existing automation investments and has the scalability to deliver standalone PAT solutions for R+D laboratories, or deliver an integrated DeltaV or Syncade PAT solution for manufacturing floors.

The synTQ data-management package, in concert with the DeltaV automation system, monitors the manufacturing process holistically and adjusts the process to continually optimise product quality.

This technology requires accurate and real-time information as to how critical-to-quality product attributes are varying as the process progresses, and adjusts the process to continually optimise these parameters.

Optimal synTQ software product collects real-time instrument analytical data, together with the control system univariate data, and derives the necessary critical-to-quality product information in real time.

The trends in this information can then be used by synTQ and the control system to steer the process to improve product quality together with timely manufacturing execution.
