Emotron, with head office in Helsingborg, Sweden, has experienced an increasing demand for its solutions in Latin America, with sales increasing continuously over the past few years.

Now the company is strengthening its position in this expanding market by opening up a new sales office.

By establishing its own distribution and service networks, Emotron aims to be one of the leading suppliers of control solutions for motor drives in selected applications.

This is a natural step for Emotron after years of growing sales in Latin America.

This is now one of the most important regions in terms of the solutions offered by the company.

Development is fast and there is a great need for modern techniques to increase the efficiency of machines and processes.

"The Latin American market is expanding and it offers great potential for our solutions," says Paul Gustavsson, Sales and Marketing Manager at Emotron: "Today our products are mainly used to control pumps and machines in the mining industry.

Our products have already proven that they can meet demands for high performance in harsh environments in these applications".

However, the region offers many further possibilities for Emotron and its products, which are used to start, stop, control and protect machines and processes in a wide range of industries.

Most of all the company sees great potential in water/wastewater, oil and gas, mining and cement.

These are very well suited markets for the company's unique adapted solutions for controlling pumps, compressors, crushers, cranes amongst others.

The challenge of developing the Emotron potential in the region has been given to Raul Vazquez, the new sales manager at Emotron Latin American situated in Miami.

His first mission is to establish local distribution and service networks.

Raul Vazquez is an electronics engineer who has lengthy experience in the business, most recently from a position as the Latin America distribution manager at the ABB drive division.

Raul's established connections and good knowledge of the region will provide a sound basis for success.
