Leading energy purchasing broker energyTEAM has revealed that its market-leading advice to purchase energy on two-year contracts has so far saved its clients many GBPtens of millions

Leading energy purchasing broker energyTEAM has revealed that its market-leading advice to purchase energy on two-year contracts has so far saved its clients many GBPtens of millions.

Brian Rickerby, Joint MD of energyTEAM, explained: "When we first recommended two-year contracts, many clients were highly sceptical and some even told us that it would be against their company policy to make such long-term commitments.

However, when the first two-year contracts we placed came up for renewal, the figures demonstrated just how good this advice was.

Even we were amazed at the level of savings achieved - as much as GBP1.8million for one client." It seems obvious now, but two or three years ago correctly predicting that energy prices were about to start an on-going upward price surge, energyTEAM were one of the first energy purchasing brokers to recommend two-year contracts to its clients.

While the meteoric rise in energy costs has hit many businesses hard, energyTEAM clients who took this advice have so far been shielded from the worst effects.

Brian Rickerby added: "We're continuing to watch the market and analyse the trends and other data so we can advise our customers on the future energy purchasing strategy in the best way possible for their individual needs.

As the market develops and changes, so the correct action to take can change.

Whatever the future of energy prices, we intend to ensure that our clients will continue to be the best informed businesses in the UK".
