Direct inline viscosity measurement from
Coriolis

The Endress+Hauser Promass I is the first Coriolis mass flowmeter to offer direct inline viscosity measurement, eliminating process interruptions and a need for extra instrumentation such as DP cells

The Endress+Hauser Promass I is the world's first Coriolis mass flowmeter to offer direct inline viscosity measurement, eliminating process interruptions and the need for additional instrumentation such as DP cells Able to measure mass, density, temperature and viscosity, Promass I offers excellent measurement and control capabilities - all in one single meter! Promass I measures the viscosity of both Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids

This patented approach allows direct inline measurement of the apparent viscosity of a liquid - an ideal way to gauge product quality.

It is particularly important in applications where product thickness relates to product quality eg tomato sauce production.

The additional viscosity measurement function in Promass I is also ideal for improving process control and efficiency.

Monitoring viscosity trends is an additional way to detect product change and provides early warning of any potential failures in the process.

The viscosity function can also be used to protect machinery.

Promass I reduces unscheduled downtime, as the product can be continuously monitored for excessive 'thickness' thus preventing severe build-up on the machinery. Request a free brochure from Endress + Hauser ...
