Radiometric techniques for level
measurement

Radiometric techniques are used in applications where other methods of liquid level measurement fail: Gammapilot M is ideal for level detection and continuous measurement plus interface detection

Radiometric techniques are used in applications where other methods of liquid level measurement fail In extreme conditions such as toxicity, abrasion, high temperatures, high pressures or baffles, the Endress+Hauser Gammapilot M comes into its own

The Gammapilot M FMG60 compact transmitter offers all of the advantages of the tried and tested method combined with the latest technological innovations.

Due to its compact design, Gammapilot M is ideal for a range of applications, from level limit detection and continuous level measurement through to interface layer and density measurement.

The variable transmitter concept with NaI crystal or plastic scintillators in different lengths guarantees optimum adaptation to requirements.

Its two separate connection compartments and the robust stainless steel housing make it the perfect measurement instrument for harsh environments and demanding process conditions.

Gammapilot M FMG60 was developed in accordance with the international standard for functional safety IEC61508 and has SIL2 (Safety Integrity Level) approval for overspill protection, making it suitable for all safety-related processes.

Not only does it offer automatic monitoring from the sensor to the power output but Gammapilot M also issues a warning when components have to be exchanged.

This guarantees uninterrupted operation and plant availability.

Gammapilot M can be used with HART, Profibus PA and FF.

Operation and commissioning is simple using the Endress+Hauser free ToF Tool operating software or the separate FHX40 operating unit.

For further assistance, Applicator software is available for the selection of components and the calculation of the required radioactive source activity as well as the control area for the respective application. Request a free brochure from Endress + Hauser ...
