Fieldgate web server: Remote technology
that works

With remote Fieldgate technology from Endress+Hauser, the benefits are tangible in terms of time, efficiency, resources and smooth operation, when remotely interrogating HART or Profibus devices

The Endress+Hauser range of Fieldgate web servers enable remote monitoring, remote diagnosis and remote configuration of HART and Profibus field devices via Ethernet TCP/IP, telephone lines (analogue) or mobile communications (GSM/GPRS) Access to measured values couldn't be simpler: they can be made available via the internet, your company's intranet, to mobiles over GSM/GPRS or indeed public switched telephone network (PSTN)

You won't need additional software either: your data is displayed in a standard web browser.

Perfect for web-based inventory management, Fieldgate means that raw material suppliers can check tank or silo levels remotely at any time, gaining critical data for optimum production planning.

By monitoring the configured level limits, Fieldgate is able to activate the next supply, from issuing a simple purchasing requisition via email through to a fully-automatic order administration in a variety of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP.

In this way, your business processes are organised simply and efficiently and, with time or event-controlled email and SMS messaging, stock and supply chain management will see real improvements.

Naturally, Fieldgate offers remote configuration of field instruments, in a simple process using standard software such as ReadWin 2000, ToF Tool-Fieldtool, FieldCare and other similar software.

The standardised data transfer formats allow for further analysis and simple processing of measured data, as well as being integrated into more complex planning systems if required.

Fieldgate can also be readily accessed by any web-compatible computer - you won't need additional software as it supports standard internet protocols (http, TCP/IP etc).

What's more, it is available as an intrinsically safe version (EEx ia) for connection to hazardous areas, and complies with IEC 61508. Request a free brochure from Endress + Hauser ...
