The new hygienic Promass S Coriolis flowmeter

An Endress + Hauser product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team May 16, 2008

At the forefront in hygienic design, the new Endress+Hauser Promass S Coriolis mass flowmeter meets all possible hygienic requirements for use in the food and beverage industry

With 3-A authorisation and EHEDG certification, this unit provides an assurance of outstanding cleanability.

The stainless steel single measuring tube is easy to clean, fully drainable and suitable for pigging.

An industry-optimised sensor design capable of handling stringent CIP/SIP processes up to +150C provides a single instrument for multivariable measurement, reducing your metering costs.

It enables direct metering of mass flow, density and temperature with additional calculation of volume and temperature compensated concentration (e.g degreesBrix, degreesPlato etc) as well as software options for batching.

Endress+Hauser offers accredited calibration based on ISO/IEC 17025, ensuring an excellent measuring accuracy of 0.1% of range.

Endress+Hauser understands that not all processes operate at reference conditions, so that is why Promass S provides 0.0005g/cm3 density accuracy (field density calibration) at your specific operating point.

In addition, with the Endress+Hauser special density calibration, they guarantee density accuracy of 0.002g/cm3 across the calibrated range, ensuring that you maintain density accuracy throughout the process.

Promass S is easy to install and requires no inlet and outlet runs or flow profiler/conditioner units.

The fully welded design with no moving parts and no internal seals ensures maintenance-free operation.

This means no replacement of parts, no leakage due to seal deterioration and no regular maintenance required.
