As part of their mission to become the leading authority on air quality monitoring and emissions, Enviro Technology Services will be holding a number of workshops at the MCERTS Conference on October 12-13 Already a world leader in the supply of advanced environmental monitoring equipment, Enviro Technology are currently the only company offering a one-day course aimed at demystifying the new BS EN14181 European regulations for the quality assurance of Automated Measuring Systems

Operations Director Duncan Mounsor will cover a range of topics - which include the latest legislation on air quality monitoring, as well as discussing new techniques and equipment - in the workshops at the Bretby Conference Centre, Burton-Upon-Trent, Staffordshire.

On Wednesday October 12, from 0945 to 1015, Duncan will be talking about isokinetic particulate and gaseous sampling using source testing equipment.

Then, from 1030 to 1100, he will be discussing Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM) for IPPC applications using the MCERTS-approved Opsis cross-duct system.

On Thursday October 13, from 1115 to 1145, fenceline monitoring of fugitive emissions using the Opsis open-path DOAS system will be discussed followed by, at 1200 to 1230, a talk on advances in air quality monitoring.

"Enviro Technology Services are committed to educating people, as well as offering independent and impartial advice, irrespective of which monitoring equipment they use," Duncan said: "Our aim is to raise the industry standard and help protect the environment".

The walk-in, walk-out workshops are open to all delegates without pre-booking.

For those who are unable to visit the MCERTS Conference, Enviro Technology run a number of courses at their GBP100,000, state-of-the-art training facilities in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

These include a three-day CEM course, which covers the requirements for MCERTS examination Levels One and Two, plus Technical Endorsements One, Three and Four.

The remaining dates for 2005 are September 20-22 and November 15-17.

For newcomers to the field or for environmental health officers needing an update on current legislation, Enviro Technology also run a one-day Air Quality Monitoring course consisting of both theory and practical work using the latest equipment and techniques.

The remaining dates for this year are September 19 and November 14.

Bespoke courses can also be arranged for group bookings.

"If a company comes to us looking for a course that focuses on one or a number of issues then we can tailor something specific to their business - anything is possible," Duncan added.
