Once the check has been carried out a written report is submitted for every AQM station.
The Enviro Technology AQM Systems Sales Manager Stephen Hoskin said: "We recommend that every station undergoes an annual check-up, which only takes between one and two hours for a typical station.
"It's not only essential for companies to comply with Health and Safety guidelines, but we also want to ensure that our own engineers are protected when they carry out maintenance and repairs to a station.
Some monitoring stations have not been checked since they were installed 10 years ago.
We have also found, for example, that the capability of the equipment has been expanded over the years, but the electricity supply has not been upgraded to cope with the increased output.
This is the reason why we are offering the first health and safety check for free.
It would normally cost in the region of GBP500, so there is absolutely no reason why anyone with an AQM station shouldn't take this opportunity to get their equipment tested".
The Safe Monitoring Programme is just one of a number of unrivalled services offered by Enviro Technology Services from their Stroud, Gloucestershire, headquarters.
Routine maintenance and repairs can be carried out in their service centre with its four-strong, full-time maintenance team, or by one of their network of field engineers.
Senior Workshop Engineer Richard Bingham said: "We truly believe that the service we offer is second-to-none and positive comments from our customers back this up.
Quick turnaround is crucial to our customers and we try to complete work within a week.
This usually involves fault-finding and repair, followed by a service.
We also test the equipment to ensure that it is working in harmony before we return it to the customer.
Clients expect installations to function at a high level and we make sure that we cover every eventuality".
Richard added: "No one else offers this level of service for environmental monitoring systems - a dedicated service phone line, where clients can get advice from an engineer, staff who process orders and make bookings, plus our team of field engineers.
Obviously, this level of service comes at a price.
Spare parts don't come at discounted prices - unless they are inferior copies - and this is what some of our customers have discovered to their cost.
Clients who have gone elsewhere for what they considered to be a better deal have returned simply because, at the end of the day, you get what you pay for.".
