MCerts shows emissions monitoring attitude change
Attendees at the MCerts 2009 conference demonstrated a significant shift in their attitude to and awareness of emissions monitoring, according to Enviro Technology.
Enviro's sales and marketing director, Duncan Mounsor, spoke to a wide range of delegates during the two-day event.
He particularly noticed the mindset of energy providers and waste incineration businesses starting to change, as they appreciate the benefits of a long-term approach to monitoring.
'People are realising that 'cheap and cheerful' solutions simply don't meet the required standards over time,' says Mounsor.
'It's important to install high-quality equipment, set contractual service-level agreements and go through quality assurance schemes.
'Otherwise, it's too easy to fall foul of the Environment Agency.
'You need to be able to rely on your equipment, and to be confident that if it does let you down, someone will be there to fix or replace it quickly.
Enviro Technology's conference theme was 'take it easy', demonstrating that better-quality products enable businesses to relax in the knowledge that their emissions monitoring is under control.
