New Pump-Flo pump selection software available

An Engineered Software product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Oct 7, 2008

Pump-Flo Solutions has released Pump-Flo Version 10, the latest version of the Pump-Flo program.

The Pump-Flo software suite is used by pump manufacturers, pump distributors and pump users/specifiers for the sizing and selection of pumps.

It shows dynamic pump curves and aids purchasers and suppliers in the quotation process.

New features include the ability to determine the proper selection point for multiple pump operation, using the multiple pump design point calculator.

Pump-Flo version 10 allows the user to select regenerative turbine pump styles.

There is the option of selecting pumps in pressure units and a curve generator that automatically shows the system resistance curve on the pump graph.

An atmospheric pressure calculator helps users determine normal atmospheric pressure based on the local elevation and these measurements can help accurate pump selection.

The Pump-Flo software suite is available as Windows-based (CD) and web-based software to support all user preferences.

Both platforms are built from the same architecture and interface to ensure rapid implementation and a short learning curve.

The software can be branded and built to fulfil individual customers' needs.

Additional new features and improvements include: the ability to generate system resistance curves based on design point, total head calculator or multiple pump calculator; the ability to select from regenerative turbine pump catalogues; multiple speed graph ISO lines; and a variable speed pump cost-analysis calculator.

More than 80 catalogues are available on the free web-based version, which has over 150,000 registered users, and more than 100 catalogues are available through the desktop version.

A free demo trial is available for the desktop version.

The Pump-Flo pump selection tool is included as part of the Pipe-Flo piping system design software.
