British Energy will have a major exhibition suite and a seminar programme at the Energy Event that aims to equip today's energy buyers and managers with the latest insight and advice on energy issues

British Energy will have a major presence at The Energy Event this year and will be bringing a large exhibition suite and a seminar programme that aims to equip today's energy buyers and managers with the latest insight and advice to help them through the minefield of modern energy issues The seminars will address some of the major issues that are dominating the market

They will include a session on 'Low Carbon' as well as a dedicated briefing on the state of the market in the 'Winter MarketWatch' presentation.

New energy managers will also be catered for in a session designed to give an overview of the electricity market.

Stuart Hough, Head of BE Direct feels that British Energy has a lot to offer energy decision makers and is looking forward to taking a lead on some of the critical issues that are driving the market.

"Issues like low carbon energy, market volatility and the ins and outs of energy buying are right at the top of the boardroom agenda right now.

These are issues we help our customers with every day so we are well positioned to bring our expertise to a wider audience at The Energy Event.

Many of our experts will be on the stand and we encourage customers and delegates to come along and take advantage of our market insight over a coffee".

Volatile energy markets have dominated the news over the last two years and energy spend is now very much a boardroom issue.

This has put more pressure on energy buyers and raised the profile of the role, which has become business critical for some of the larger energy users.

This has lead to the recruitment of hundreds of new energy buyers who are having to find their feet in an uncertain market.

Cathy McClay, Head of Fundamental Analysis at British Energy will be bringing the company's 'Winter MarketWatch' briefing to the show.

"As a major energy trader we have developed a great deal of market insight which we regularly share with our customers as part of our monthly 'Talk Power MarketWatch' broadcasts.

At The Energy Event we will be running a live 'Winter MarketWatch' presentation giving our customers some idea of the fundamentals that will impact the market this winter".

New energy managers will be given the opportunity to get to grips with a range of energy issues in a seminar that will provide a broad overview of the electricity market.

There are also plans to provide some training for customers who want some extra advice using the British Energy "Impact" energy management software.

Delegates visiting the stand will be able to enjoy multimedia presentations and barista style coffee bars where they can catch up with a number of British Energy experts who will be at the event.
