Volatile energy markets have dominated the news over the last two years and energy spend is now very much a boardroom issue.
This has put more pressure on energy buyers and raised the profile of the role, which has become business critical for some of the larger energy users.
This has lead to the recruitment of hundreds of new energy buyers who are having to find their feet in an uncertain market.
Cathy McClay, Head of Fundamental Analysis at British Energy will be bringing the company's 'Winter MarketWatch' briefing to the show.
"As a major energy trader we have developed a great deal of market insight which we regularly share with our customers as part of our monthly 'Talk Power MarketWatch' broadcasts.
At The Energy Event we will be running a live 'Winter MarketWatch' presentation giving our customers some idea of the fundamentals that will impact the market this winter".
New energy managers will be given the opportunity to get to grips with a range of energy issues in a seminar that will provide a broad overview of the electricity market.
There are also plans to provide some training for customers who want some extra advice using the British Energy "Impact" energy management software.
Delegates visiting the stand will be able to enjoy multimedia presentations and barista style coffee bars where they can catch up with a number of British Energy experts who will be at the event.
