Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Aug 27, 2008

The Energy Event annual exhibition and conference will this year take place on the 10 and 11 September at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham.

The event will focus solely on energy procurement, management and efficiency, including water efficiency.

Conferences and seminars will be hosted by ESTA (Energy Services and Technology Association), MEUC (Major Energy Users Council), Envirowise, CIBSE (Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers), BCAS (British Compressed Air Society) and Energy Information Centre (EIC).

Over the two days, ESTA will be running seminars about how companies can save energy and operating costs by applying energy management to their buildings and processes.

MEUC will be looking at gas and power buying and how this can be done wisely.

EIC will be hosting an Energy Purchasing and Market Fundamentals seminar for major energy users.

Experts from EIC will be offering advice on purchasing strategies to manage market exposure via flexible supply contracts.

Envirowise will be considering the important topic of water efficiency, while CIBSE will be holding a useful seminar about the role of building services within the energy matrix.

Headlining the conference programme will be the Energy Insight Conference, which is aimed at directors and senior management and will be primarily focusing on energy procurement, as well as touching on energy management.

Total Gas and Power is the official sponsor for this year's event.

Other sponsors include: EDF Energy, Encore International, Llumarlite, Shell Gas Direct and the Utilities Exchange.
