E2S, the leading manufacturer of sounders and beacons, has developed the GPH (General Purpose Horn), offering a high reliability long life electronic alternative to electromechanical warning devices
The GOST R Approval adds to the existing ATEX and IECEx Approvals for this range, completing the certification of the family for use in high risk environments throughout the world.
The BEx range is available in EEx d and EEx de ratings, is suitable for use in Zones 1, 21, 2 and 22 gas and dust environments.
The family consists of 110 and 117dB(A) sounders, 15 and 25 Watt loudspeakers, the unique 110 and 113dB(A) Appello voice and tone sounders, 5, 10 and 15 Joule beacons and combination units.
A major feature is the large termination area, making installation very much easier; the EEx d versions accept either one 4mm2 or two 2.5mm2 cables, the EEx de units can accommodate two 4mm2 cables.
The sounders have a 4MHz internal clock to ensure that all sounders on the same loop remain in synchronisation.
They offer 45 different tones, including, for offshore use, the PFEER/UKOOA "General Alarm", "Toxic Gas Alarm" and "Prepare to Abandon Platform" tones, and all commonly used European tones.
The unique Appello combined voice and tone sounders use direct digital storage to hold a voice message of up to 16 seconds duration in non-volatile memory.
The high quality reproduction from digital storage ensures outstanding clarity of the broadcast message.
The 5, 10 and 15 Joule beacons have unique synchronised flash and are available with a choice of six lens colours.
