The intrinsically safe sounders and beacons from E2S, rated for use in Zone 0,1 and 2 environments, Gas group IIC, have achieved ATEX, IECEx and FM Approval

The IS-mini family, the IS-A105N and the IS-L101, are approved by ATEX, IECEx and FM, enabling them to be specified and installed in applications throughout the world The IS-minialarm 100d(B)A sounder, the IS-A105N 105dB(A) sounder, the IS-minialite and IS-L101 LED beacons and the IS-minialert combined unit have all gained approval from the various bodies

Both the IS-minialarm and the IS-A105N sounder have 49 user-selectable three-stage alarm tone configurations, including the PFEER/UKOOA compliant tones, and a 4MHz clock ensures that the outputs from all sounders on a loop are synchronised.

The IS-minialite beacon and the IS-L101 use an array of ultra bright amber, red, blue or green LEDs to produce a selectable 1Hz or 2Hz flashing warning signal, giving a far brighter and more noticeable visual warning than traditional linear Xenon tube beacon intrinsically safe alternatives.

The IS-minialert combined unit uses advanced electronics, an efficient transducer and an acoustically efficient folded horn design to maximise output while reducing current draw, ensuring that it can be powered though a single Zener barrier or galvanic isolator.

The IS-L101 can be used in conjunction with the IS-A105N sounder, again powered through the same Zener barrier or galvanic isolator and mounted together or separately.
